Oeko-Tex 100 is an international label for carpets and other textiles, founded in 1992.
The label guarantees that the final product does not contain any harmful substances. The label looks at both natural and synthetic fibres.
The label is managed by International Oeko-Tex Association, which also carries out the audit. This association was created as an association of 16 research institutes for textiles, including Centexbel, the Technical and Scientific Centre for the Belgian Textile Industry.
